The Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) is a government supervisory agency with regulatory responsibility for safety, the working environment, emergency preparedness and security. Its area of responsibility embraces the Norwegian petroleum sector, both offshore and at land-based plants, renewable energy generation at sea (offshore wind power), carbon transport and storage, and mineral recovery from the seabed. Based in Stavanger, the PSA has some 180 employees.
